Gregg Wallace says he starts boozing at just 6.30am on Christmas Day while obliging wife Anne-Marie Sterpini cooks dinner for the whole family.
The MasterChef judge, 57, boasted that he does absolutely nothing to help out while a rather tolerant Anne-Marie, 35 – better known as Anna – prepares seven joints of meat and five puddings with her mother.
He told the Radio Times: ‘I don’t even suggest helping out. My wife chooses not to work and says, “If it’s inside the front door, darling, it’s my responsibility.”

Gregg also claimed he only buys her one present each year, while she has her hands full buying the others.
He continued: ‘It’s a matriarchal household and every year I buy one present for my wife and she buys all the others. She takes charge of everything.’
‘Christmas in my house is huge. Anna is Christmas-crazy. We had seven trees last year.’

The MasterChef star welcomed his third child, Syd, with Anne-Marie in June 2019, and Peckham-born Gregg also has children Tom and Libby – both in their 20s – from his previous marriage to pastry chef Denise.
Gregg and Denise wed in 1999 and divorced in 2004, with the former winning full custody of their children.
He eventually met Anne-Marie on Twitter in 2013, with the couple marrying three years later in August 2016 at Hever Castle in Kent.

Gregg has previously noted that it is the almost 22-year age difference between them that has driven him to be fit and healthy over the last two years while altering his decision to have no more children.
Speaking to Absolute radio host Dave Berry on the new season of his podcast Dadpod, he explained: ‘The truth is, I’m so madly in love with Anna. I said to her I wouldn’t choose to have children, not at my age. But it’s what you want. What you want, I want.’
He added of his relationship with Anne-Marie, 34: ‘I think if you fall in love with a young woman and you tell you don’t want children; I don’t think you actually love that woman.’
