Joe Jonas gives a BRUTAL review of Wetherspoons

Joe Jonas gives a BRUTAL review of British pub chain Wetherspoons before the boyband reveal their favourite choice of UK pints

Joe Jonas offered a scathing review of Wetherspoons when he was quizzed on what he thought of the British pub chain in a new interview.

The Jonas Brothers singer, 33, shocked hosts Jamie Theakston and Zoe Hardman when he appeared on Heart Breakfast on Tuesday morning by revealing he had previously visited a branch of the pub.

The topic came up when Joe tried to explain what American eatery Waffle House was as he compared it to the popular UK chain, Wetherspoons.

Jumping in, Jamie referrenced Joe’s star status and quipped: ‘I’m going to pull you up there, you’ve never been to a Wetherspoon.’

Joe, who is married to British actress Sophie Turner, insisted that he had been to a Wetherspoons before during his time in the UK.

However when he was asked what he thought of it, Joe gave a thinly-veiled response and said: ‘Uhm, I liked other places…’

He continued: ‘Let’s just say it wouldn’t be my first go-to.

‘Uhm, yeah but you know, for us growing up when we were touring in the States we were too young to of and have a pint after the show and kick it with our friends so we would go to the only place open late which was a Waffle House.

‘They serve breakfast items all day and we would sit there and talk and it became more of this safe place for us, so there’s other places like that for anyone in the world.’

The comments come as the Jonas Brothers visited another pub in the Capital, however they did not confirm whether it was a Wetherspoons.

Joe and his brothers Nick, 30, and Kevin, 35, popped into the watering hole for a ‘celebratory pint’ after discovering that their New York show had sold out.

Joe began the video by revealing that they were in the pub for a quick drink before going to film Chicken Shop Date with Amelia Dimoldenberg.

The boys then muse over what their drink of choice will be, with their pal Greg Garbowsky revealing he would be opting for a pint of Guinness.

No way! Jumping in, Jamie referrenced Joe's star statud and quipped: 'I'm going to pull you up there, you've never been to a Wetherspoon

Indecisive Kevin admitted he wasn’t sure and asked his brothers for suggestions while Nick revealed he would be having a pint of Camden Hells larger.

One of them chimed in that they like Neck Oil IPA [Indian Pale Ale], but Kevin stood firm on his decision to order a pint of Guinness.

Kevin joked: ‘Hells for the boys!’

While Joe upped the ante and asked: ‘Baby Guinness anyone?’, which is a shot made with coffee liqueur and Irish cream.
