She bid farewell to Hollyoaks as her final scenes as new mother Becky Quentin aired earlier this week.

And Katie McGlynn made sure all eyes were still on her as she wowed in a bright yellow dress and matching blazer on Friday.

The actress, 28, looked incredible in the chic ensemble as she stepped out for dinner with friends at Australasia in Manchester.

The beauty paired her bright ensemble with yellow stilettos which were embellished in silver studs. 

She completed the head turning outfit with a leather clutch bag as she strutted to the restaurant. 

Katie’s glam makeup enhanced her naturally pretty features and the star oozed confidence as she pounded the pavement. 

The actor bid farewell to Hollyoaks after nine months and took to Instagram after the last episode to comment on her departure.

Katie, who took up the role of Becky last June- 18 months after leaving Coronation Street, teased ‘exciting opportunities’ were in the pipeline. 

Katie wrote: ‘Becky Quentin, over and out! It’s been an absolute pleasure playing Becky and getting my teeth into something so different and gritty!

‘As an actor, to be able to portray someone that has so much likeness to extremely current global issues from conspiracy theories to anti-vaxxers, coronavirus and sinophobia… I really hope the storyline has helped raise some important issues and helps people see how easy it is for someone to be sucked into this whole world of fake news and conspiracy!’

The soap star went on to thank Hollyoaks for being so welcoming.  

‘Thank you to the entire cast and crew for being so unbelievably amazing and welcoming me with open arms! I will miss you all, but other exciting opportunities beckon…,’ she added. 

Some of Katie’s co-stars took to the comment section to wish her good luck. Chelsee Healey wrote: ‘Nothing less star girl’.

Gabriel Clark chimed: ‘Katie. You b****y legend. Miss seeing your brilliant, beautiful face and laughing with you every day. You absolutely smashed it Love youuuu xx’ (sic). 

Several fans have suggested Katie could be set to reprise her role as Jodie ‘Scout’ Allen on Waterloo Road. 

Katie left Coronation Street in 2019 after her character Sinead Tinker died following a heartbreaking cervical cancer storyline.

She subsequently landed a promising new role in The Syndicate on BBC One and was throwing herself into new auditions.  

However, with the coronavirus outbreak stagnating TV production, Katie admitted she had struggled to remain upbeat about her future prospects.  

Reflecting on the drought in work opportunities due to the pandemic, she previously said to The Sun: ‘I put all my energy into the universe, expecting amazing big things, and then it all backfired. 

‘It’s disheartening, and over the past 12 months I’ve been very up and down.’
