Man United vs Galatasaray: Champions League – LIVE!

Manchester United host Galatasaray at Old Trafford in the Champions League tonight. While, in terms of the scoreline alone, United ran Bayern Munich close last time out in this competition, they really need to win this evening to avoid the prospect of not making it out of the group. Their home form was so strong last year and it needs to be again to stand much of a chance.
Erik ten Hag’s side have endured a fairly miserable start to the season, both on and off the pitch. Beaten by Crystal Palace at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday, another defeat would ramp up the pressure and leave United with a mountain to climb to make it into the last 16.
Galatasaray have a raft of former Premier League players in their squad for tonight’s game, with former United winger Wilfried Zaha being perhaps the standout. Follow all the action LIVE with Standard Sport’s dedicated match blog!

Erik ten Hag slams Manchester United stars after defeat to Crystal Palace: ‘We have to do better’
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is concerned after his side suffered their worst start to a Premier League season with the 1-0 home loss to Crystal Palace.
Not since the 1989/90 campaign, when Sir Alex Ferguson was reportedly one game away from the sack, have United lost four of their first seven league games.
But Joachim Andersen’s first-half goal for Palace inflicted the same fate on the current crop, which left the Old Trafford faithful booing at the end.
It had looked like United were turning their season around after a Carabao Cup win over the same opponents on Tuesday followed victory at Burnley last weekend, but the pressure is beginning to mount on Ten Hag.
Kobbie Mainoo rejoins Manchester United training ahead of timely return from injury
Manchester United could soon have Kobbie Mainoo available for selection for the first time this season.
The 18-year-old was ruled out for the start of the campaign after suffering an ankle injury in a pre-season clash with Real Madrid.
Erik ten Hag has regularly spoken highly of Mainoo’s potential and he is expected to take a role in the first-team when he returns to contention.
Reports suggest that could happen after this month’s international break and he took a step towards his recovery when featuring in United’s training session on Monday.

For the visitors, Hakim Ziyech is hoping to be fit to play while defender Kazimcan Karatas is a doubt.
Man United team news: Altay Bayindir set for debut
The Red Devils’ crisis in defence continues with Sergio Reguilon, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Sergio Reguilon and Tyrell Malacia all unavailable.
Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo complete United’s injury list but Jadon Sancho is also missing while being exiled from Ten Hag’s squad.
Antony is in contention for a first game in a month after returning to training. If the Brazilian winger does play, he will replace Facundo Pellistri on the right wing after the young Uruguayan underwhelmed against Palace.
Ten Hag has confirmed a debut for Altay Bayindir in goal.
