A 30-minute TikTok video showing how to make sweet and sticky fried chicken using an air fryer has taken the internet by storm.
The recipe, uploaded by a man called Phil who posts under the username Rocky_1982, has been seen more than 25,000 times with hundreds of people leaving comments.
‘Amazing, I have been craving a healthier version of Korean, or Asian fried chicken,’ one man commented.

In the video Phil films himself finding an air fryer in Kmart before buying the home appliance and starting his cook up.
He cuts 600grams of chicken into one-inch cubes to start and then marinates it in soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, five spice, garlic powder, sesame oil, an egg and corn flour.
He stirs these ingredients in a stainless steel bowl being careful to coat each piece well. He then sets the chicken in the fridge for 15 minutes.
He then makes the sticky sauce by mixing equal parts soy sauce, sugar, ketchup and honey with a splash of rice wine vinegar.
Phil then coats the chicken in cornflour and sprays it with oil.
He lets it cook until it is golden brown.
The recipe calls for 600 grams of chicken and can be made in just 30 minutes
When he takes it out it is time to combine the chicken and the sauce.
Phil takes a frying pan and browns off some garlic before adding the sauce. When it’s warm he adds the fried chicken.
He served the meal in a bowl and added some chopped spring onion.
‘Oh my goodness, when can I come for dinner?’ one woman asked on the video.
‘I am on the road I will see you soon,’ laughed another.
Others said the quick recipe was too hard.
‘Looks great but well beyond the effort I am willing to go to on a Friday night, well done though,’ one woman said.
But not everyone was impressed with the recipe.
One woman wrote on the video that air fryers should be sold with ‘free cremation’ because fried food isn’t good for your health.
But the home cook shrugged off the comment by replying ‘you can’t please everyone’.
